Agreement: By using CSVImport, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

CSVImport is a web-based tool that allows you to:
- Upload CSV files
- Map CSV columns to API fields using OpenAPI specifications
- Submit data to third-party REST APIs in bulk
Current Offering: Free tier with a 25-row import limit. Future tiers may be introduced.
3. Acceptable Use
3.1 Permitted Use
You may use CSVImport to:
- Import legitimate data into APIs you own or have authorization to use
- Test and validate API integrations
- Automate data entry for business or personal purposes
3.2 Prohibited Use
You may NOT use CSVImport to:
- Violate Laws: Engage in illegal activities or violate applicable laws
- Abuse APIs: Send spam, malicious data, or unauthorized requests to third-party APIs
- Harm Others: Upload data containing viruses, malware, or harmful content
- Infringe Rights: Violate intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of third parties
- Circumvent Limits: Attempt to bypass the 25-row limit or other restrictions through technical means
- Scrape or Reverse Engineer: Copy, modify, or reverse engineer the CSVImport service
- Overload Service: Use automated tools to generate excessive requests or traffic
4. Your Responsibilities
When using CSVImport, you are responsible for:
- Data Accuracy: Ensuring your CSV data is accurate and properly formatted
- API Authorization: Having proper authorization to submit data to the target API
- API Credentials: Safeguarding your API keys, tokens, and credentials (we do not store them)
- Compliance: Complying with the terms of service of the APIs you integrate with
- Data Privacy: Ensuring you have rights to process and submit any personal data in your CSV files
- Backups: Maintaining backups of your data (we do not store CSV files permanently)
5. Service Limitations
5.1 Free Tier Limits
- Row Limit: 25 rows per CSV import
- File Size: Maximum 50MB per upload
- Rate Limiting: Requests may be throttled to prevent abuse
5.2 Service Availability
CSVImport is provided "as available" without guaranteed uptime. We may:
- Suspend service for maintenance (with or without notice)
- Modify features or limits at any time
- Discontinue the service with 30 days' notice
6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
IMPORTANT: CSVImport is provided by an individual operator. The following limitations are critical for your understanding of the service risks.
6.1 "AS IS" Service
CSVImport is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or reliability of results
- Error-free or uninterrupted operation
6.2 No Guarantee of Success
We do NOT guarantee that:
- Your CSV imports will succeed
- Data will be correctly mapped or submitted
- Target APIs will accept the submitted data
- The service will meet your specific requirements
- Errors will be detected or reported accurately
6.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Italian law:
- Alessandro Diaferia shall NOT be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- This includes, but is not limited to, damages for:
- Loss of data or business data
- Loss of profits or revenue
- Business interruption
- Damage caused by incorrect API submissions
- Costs of procurement of substitute services
- Maximum Liability: In no event shall total liability exceed 300 (one hundred euros), or the amount you paid for the service (currently 300 for free tier)
6.4 User Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You use CSVImport at your own risk
- You are solely responsible for verifying API submissions before execution
- You should test with non-production APIs before using production systems
- Data loss or corruption may occur - maintain backups
7. Intellectual Property
CSVImport Ownership: All rights, title, and interest in CSVImport (code, design, branding) remain the property of Alessandro Diaferia.
Your Data: You retain all rights to your CSV data and API configurations. We do not claim ownership of your data.
License to Use: By uploading data, you grant us a temporary license to process your CSV files solely for the purpose of providing the import service. This license ends when your session expires.
8. Data Processing and Privacy
Your use of CSVImport is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes:
- What data we collect (email addresses, session data, temporary CSV files)
- How we use and protect your data
- Your GDPR rights (access, deletion, portability, etc.)
- Use of PostHog (EU) for analytics
Data Retention: CSV files are NOT stored permanently. They are processed in memory/temporary storage and deleted after your session ends (max 24 hours).
9. Third-Party APIs
CSVImport integrates with third-party APIs that you specify. You acknowledge that:
- We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or terms of third-party APIs
- You must comply with the terms of service of any API you use with CSVImport
- API errors, rate limits, or rejections are outside our control
- We do not validate or guarantee the behavior of third-party APIs
10. Termination
10.1 Your Right to Terminate
You may stop using CSVImport at any time. No cancellation is required for the free tier.
10.2 Our Right to Terminate
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately if:
- You violate these Terms of Service
- You engage in prohibited use (Section 3.2)
- We detect abuse, spam, or malicious activity
- Required by law or legal request
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your access to CSVImport will be revoked
- Session data and temporary files will be deleted
- Waitlist email (if provided) will remain unless you request deletion
- Sections 6 (Liability), 7 (IP), and 12 (Governing Law) survive termination
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
Material Changes: For significant changes affecting your rights, we will notify waitlist subscribers via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Continued Use: Your continued use of CSVImport after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12.2 Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of CSVImport shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy.
12.3 Informal Resolution
Before filing any legal claim, you agree to first contact us at info@csvimport.it to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Alessandro Diaferia regarding CSVImport.
